No. 308, "Linda" | Padauk, Purpleheart and Honey Locust Cutting Board

Three panels. Padauk with a maple accent, purpleheart down the middle, and honey locust with a walnut accent. 12 by 14 inches, 3/4 inch thick. No stain on any of it.

The padauk is that deep blood red straight off the saw and darkens toward brown over time. The purpleheart grows actually purple. The honey locust is the pale one with the big cathedral grain, and it carries the logo's neighbor stripe. Every one of these woods moves in its own direction over the years, so the board you see today is a moment, not a permanent state.

Edge grain. Milled, glued, flattened, shaped and sanded by hand in East Tennessee, then finished with food safe mineral oil and beeswax. Both food safe. Neither one is a snack.

Care

Treat it like cast iron, not like a dish. Hand wash warm, towel dry, stand it on edge to dry the rest of the way. No dishwasher. No soaking. Oil it when it looks thirsty, about once a month.
