The same thing I rub into every board before it leaves the shop. Food grade mineral oil and beeswax, nothing else. Not a snack.
Wood is thirsty. A board that has gone dull and gray is a board that needs feeding. Wipe this on, let it sit a few minutes, then buff off what did not soak in. The color comes back and the surface sheds water instead of drinking it.
Do it about once a month, or whenever the board looks tired. A 4 oz tin lasts a long time.
Works on any cutting board, butcher block, wooden spoon or bowl. Does not have to be one of mine.
