Black limba, cherry, and ambrosia maple. 12 by 15.5 inches, 3/4 inch thick.

The ambrosia maple is the pale wood with the grey and brown streaks. Not damage, not stain, just the wood being what it is, and no two pieces of it match. Black limba darkens the field, cherry warms it. Natural color throughout.

Edge grain. Milled, glued, flattened, shaped and sanded by hand in East Tennessee, then finished with food safe mineral oil and beeswax. Both food safe. Neither one is a snack.

Care

Treat it like cast iron, not like a dish. Hand wash warm, towel dry, stand it on edge to dry the rest of the way. No dishwasher. No soaking. Oil it when it looks thirsty, about once a month.
