The purple is purpleheart, the red-orange is padauk, and both come out of the tree that color.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe stripes will all move over time and none of them in the same direction. Padauk deepens toward brown-red, purpleheart darkens, cherry reddens in the light. In a year this is a different board.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEdge grain. Milled, glued, flattened, shaped and sanded by hand in East Tennessee, then finished with food safe mineral oil and beeswax. Both food safe.
